Risk assessment

With the help of modern software, you can achieve more consistent results more quickly.

Evaluation catalogs

In REXS, you can record as many customizable evaluation catalogs for assessing risks as you wish in one central location.

  • In these evaluation catalogs, you can record evaluation criteria for the probability of occurrence (PO), the probability of detection (PD), as well as their significance (S)
  • What’s more, you can determine which kind of evaluation should be used in the risk analysis. You can choose from
    • the risk priority number RPN = A x B X E
    • the risk class RC = A x B
    • as well as the matrix position

Example Matrix position:

The catalogs which have been released in the system can be used and displayed in the risk analyses. The calculation of the acceptable residual risk (e.g. risk priority number RPN) takes place automatically and can be displayed in color (an aspect which can be configured by the user).

Risk assessment support

Time and time again, the assessment of risks with regards to their significance, probability of occurrence and likelihood of detection proves to be a time-consuming undertaking. It is not uncommon that long (and sometimes heated) discussions about the “correct” assessment take place among the risk analysis team. In most cases, risks are assessed differently by different teams, which can lead to problems in compliance.

In REXS, risk assessments which have already been made can be retrieved and displayed from the recorded knowledge database.

  • This leads to drastically-reduced discussion times when it comes to assessing risks.
  • What’s more, similar risks can be evaluated consistently, thus producing conclusive results in audits and inspections.

Innovative Risk Management Software

REXS is an innovative software system used to carry out risk analyses and manage measures. REXS was developed based on the VTU experts’ many years of experience in risk management. REXS is a system which is used productively at VTU and which is constantly developed with our customers and development partners for the GMP and security sector.

Risk analyses - FMEA and HAZOP

REXS enables the use of various methods, such as FMEA, HAZOP, Ishikawa diagrams or user-defined methods. It is the perfect moderation and documentation tool for carrying out risk analyses.
